I love teaching…

That’s teaching calligraphy and associated arts/crafts as well as personal development and teacher training – in various settings and to an assortment of learners, developing a range of approaches for different people. I’ve written a number of extended courses including a GCSE in Calligraphic Design, a 12 module level 2 Open College Network programme, then a 30 module programme at level 3, and more recently have re-written the Calligraphy & Lettering Arts Society’s three levels of National Diploma in Calligraphy and headed up their “LiveOnline” initiative. I’m a CLAS Accredited Tutor, Assessor and currently Chair of their Academic Standards Board, as well as doing consultancy work for various organisations – in curriculum design for several subject areas, unit scrutiny and assessment processes.
